In 2005 Dyno Nobel opened its largest minesite explosives plant on the grounds of Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) mine. Dyno Nobel provides up to 450 tons of explosives daily to KPC. KPC is located in East Kalimantan, Indonesia and is one of the world's largest open pit coal mines. Dyno Nobel used images from this site to put Indonesian faces on its global marketing campaign.
