On May 2, 2005, Helen Keller International and goverment counterparts opened the doors to the Jakarta Early Intervention Center, a school to assist the development of children with visual impairments. The opening of the school coincided with Indonesia's National Education Day. Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono officiated the ceremony and then toured the school to visit the site and meet the children. |
